Cycling Experience: Rode around Europe (8 weeks, 2,500 miles) in 1988, New Zealand (4 weeks, 1,500+mi) in 1990, Corsica (2.5 weeks 1,200mi) in 1998. I've done many centuries, now spends time taking people to France and Italy to experience the best riding in the world. I’ve raced mountain bikes, but road riding is my preference.

Why are you interested in riding the Giretto d'Italia? I want to be a part of something BIG! To have a challenging and inspirational goal to train for changes everything - it gives you daily purpose! I want to inspired other cyclists and indoor cycling students and instructors to set goals, to establish a WHY behind those goals and then help pave their way to success.

As the author of the eBook "Keep it Real in your Indoor Cycling Classes" I want to promote that training indoors in Spinning classes can transfer to outdoor riding, even an epic event like this. Since I live in a ski resort, most of my training will be done indoors.

As the owner of Viva Travels, it is exciting to be a part of this event as a co-organizer as well. This is the inaugural "Giretto" - it is my goal to help this event flourish and grow over the next couple of years!

Message to her supporters: Dear friends, family, supporters,

I've committed to doing this Giretto with Gene and the others at Cycling Fusion because I am passionate about many things:

- road riding and sharing with others that passion
- indoor cycling and sharing that passion, especially to help instructors become their best
- I want to show others the power of setting and achieving goals, and the need to find your deepest WHY for attaining those goals. Completing this event is a HUGE goal for me, and this list is a part of my own "WHY"!
- I LOVE the Livestrong foundation and what it stands for. I'm a huge fan of Lance and his objective of increasing awareness of the need to find a cure for cancer on a global level. I support 100% his return to cycling, and seeing him at the Giro will be so inspiring. I've seen him numerous times at the Tour de France - but the Giro is new for him, and he WANTS TO WIN! And I want to watch him win!
- I so believe in the power of giving, and in supporting causes like this. Especially in this economy, when people are worried about money, it's important to remember the adage "The more you give, the more you receive"! It's the Law of Attraction. You attract whatever energy you put out. I so believe this and know that it will come back in spades to those who give.
- Oh, and did I mention, riding in Italy is waaaay cool?! I'd be remiss to say that wasn't part of the decision. EVEN if it's gonna be 415 miles in 5 days! I'll be consuming the best pasta in the world, not to mention quite a few gelatos I'm sure!

I'm not asking for large donations from a few people, rather I believe if a lot of people gave just a little, just what you can spare, it's amazing what we can accomplish, as an event, as a foundation, as a community, as a nation, as a global family!
